Guth DeConzo, an Engineering and Construction Management Firm with offices in New York City, Troy, NY, Lake Success, NY and Stony Brook, NY, was well represented at the 2023 NYPA Diversity Expo held March 1, 2023 at The Opus in White Plains, New York.
Jeremy McDonald, Principal, (pictured above left) said, “This was a great opportunity to meet and spend time with many of our MWBE partners and to meet new ones who possess the unique skill set Guth looks for in our Subcontractors and Suppliers. These partnerships are critical to the success of our projects as we rely heavily on our Team Partners. Thank you to NYPA for hosting this event which, judging from the attendance, was a huge success.”
Senior Construction Manager Mike Spencer, (pictured above right) was a keynote speaker on a panel discussing Teaming Up: Gaining Contracts by Partnering with Other Diverse Businesses.
“When you break down what we do each day as Construction Managers, what we actually build on our projects are relationships – with our Owners, Subcontractors and Suppliers. Projects, by themselves, have a life cycle. What doesn’t have a life cycle are the long-term partnerships we create with all our Subcontractors and Suppliers. They are an integral piece of our success, and this was a great opportunity to meet with them, outside of the job site, and thank them for all their hard work and efforts.
