This program includes approximately $550 million in construction value spanning close to 20 projects that will upgrade and replace aging infrastructure at the Empire State Plaza over the next seven years.
Project Description:
Construction Manager for extensive infrastructure upgrades. Major projects included in the portfolio include:
- Cultural Education Center, MER1 Upgrades Project – $115M
- Reconstruction of Plaza Waterproofing Systems – $100M
- Reconstruction of Eastern Approach to State Capital Project – $72M
- Egg Theater Renovation Project – $20M
- Replacement of JOB/LOB Building Fire Alarm System – $15M
- Upgrades to Swan Street Fire Alarm System – $12M
- Modernization of CEC Elevators and Escalators – $30M
- Arterial Expansion Joint Replacement Project – $20M
- Swan Street Reconstruction – $10M
- Empire State Plaza Sprinkler Testing and Modifications – $15M
Guth DeConzo Construction Management was also responsible for the development, negotiation and is signatory to a Project Labor Agreement with the Albany Building Trades for a number of projects within the portfolio.
