Founded and incorporated in 1991 by John Guth, Guth DeConzo has been a New York City based industry leader in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design and engineering for over 30 years. With over 95% of our business being recurring clients, Guth DeConzo has completed the MEP/FP design and engineering for many NYC/NJ Metro major hospital systems, international airports, higher education systems and high-end residential locations.

In 2004, sensing an industry need for energy-related design and engineering services, Jeremy McDonald, P.E. joined Guth DeConzo as a Firm Principal and opened their Troy, NY office. Since the founding of the Energy Services Group under Mr. McDonald’s leadership, Guth DeConzo has emerged as an industry leader in energy efficiency projects across New York State and the Northeast.

Once again sensing a demand for integrated, turn-key Design and Construction Management services, in 2014 Guth DeConzo created a Construction Management Group, based out of Troy, NY, to oversee the construction and commissioning of energy related projects being designed and engineered by Guth DeConzo. Given the success of the CM Group in this endeavor, they expanded into the private sector offering their high degree of professionalism and customer service to Construction Management services-only clientele. At present, over 75% of Construction Management projects undertaken by Guth DeConzo are for CM Services only. Since its inception, the Construction Management Group has been at the forefront of managing some of the most technically complex, and logistically challenging projects in the Metro New York City area as well as throughout the State of New York.

Construction Management is one of Guth DeConzo’s core competencies, specializing in healthcare, higher education, power generation/distribution as well as electrification. The Construction Management Group is headquartered in New York City and has satellite offices in Troy and Lake Success, NY to serve our ever-growing base of clientele. Our staff of over 60 Project Executives, Construction Managers, Superintendents, Safety Managers, Document Control Specialists, Compliance personnel and support staff, oversee a portfolio of projects with a construction value in excess of $750M.
